Founder · Multi-line Tech Venture · 2017–2018

Co-founded a 30-engineer consultancy, a Workforce-certified coding academy, and a product incubator under one roof.

As founding partner I co-built a multi-line tech venture: a custom-software consultancy that scaled to 30+ engineers delivering 20+ platform engagements, a 6-month Texas Workforce Commission-certified coding academy I taught across multiple cohorts (including arranging student loan providers so students could enroll), a product incubator that vetted 20+ founders and took 5 to market in year one, and a developer-education product line (HTML / CSS / Git cheat sheets + a 30MB K-12 robotics curriculum framework). Did all the branding for the parent company and the academy. The company is still active, so the specific name stays out of the public record here.

The Venture

Three operating lines under one roof.

Co-founded an Austin-area tech venture that operated three lines simultaneously: a custom-software consultancy, a workforce-certified coding academy, and a product incubator. As founding partner I owned product, brand, and operating responsibility across all three.

Consultancy: scaled to 30+ engineers delivering 20+ platform engagements over the first operating window. Academy: 6-month curriculum, Texas Workforce Commission certified, with student-loan providers arranged so career-changing students could enroll. I taught multiple cohorts and graduated 50+ engineers. Incubator: vetted 20+ early-stage founders and took 5 of them to market in year one as CPO. Plus the developer-education product line — HTML / CSS / Git cheat sheets and a 30MB K-12 robotics curriculum.

What I Owned

Brand, curriculum, instruction, incubation, and the deliverable craft.

Designed all the branding for the parent venture and the academy — identity, marketing surfaces, conference booth design, classroom collateral. Architected the academy curriculum (5+ technical modules + a final capstone) and taught it in person across multiple cohorts. Coordinated the loan-provider relationships that made the academy financially accessible. Authored the developer reference series and the K-12 robotics curriculum framework. As CPO of the incubator, vetted founders, scoped early-stage products, and took five through to market in year one.

Why It Matters For Lvl Up

The synthesis discipline that runs the AI Audit was forged here.

Education products are pure synthesis exercises — take everything, ship the right thing. The cheat-sheet series didn't enumerate every spec; it organized the standard so a developer could find what they needed at a glance. The robotics curriculum didn't survey every concept; it built a progression a teacher without a robotics background could deliver. That's the same motion the AI Operations Audit runs — and the discipline I built across cohorts, founders, and printed deliverables is the discipline that built the Lvl Up audit template.
